We are excited to announce the 2nd Emerging Scholars Camp!
This camp provides graduate students and early-career PhDs interested in Southeast Asian studies with the chance to present their research, receive feedback, and network with other scholars. It offers a space for in-depth discussions on the latest research being carried out by emerging scholars, helping to shape the future of Southeast Asian studies. The camp also supports the academic responsibility of nurturing the next generation of scholars.
Here are the details for the camp and the application process:
Dates: February 24 (Mon) – 26 (Wed), 2025 (2 nights, 3 days)
Location: Dongseo University, Jure Campus / Global Village
Eligibility: Early-career PhDs (within 5 years of completing their doctoral degree) and graduate students (members of the association's graduate student group)
Presentation Topics: Any topic related to Southeast Asia

Application Deadline: By January 19 (Sun), 2025
Mentor applications will be accepted after the submission deadline.
